Naviga · Migration

Retire the legacy system without losing what it knows.

We migrate media companies onto Naviga Ad from legacy and homegrown order systems, consolidating after acquisitions and sunsetting contracts that have outlived their usefulness. The method is the same every time: mapping and governance first, controlled loads, reconciliation, a freeze at cutover, and billing that never stops.

When this is the right engagement

  • A legacy or homegrown OMS is retiring and Naviga Ad is the destination
  • The contract on the old system is renewing and the usage does not justify it
  • An acquisition brought a second order system and the two must become one
  • A previous migration left duplicate advertisers and orders nobody can bill
  • Leadership wants closed orders and campaign history to survive the move

What you get

  • A source data review with counts, quality findings, and what will and will not move
  • A field-by-field mapping document with transformation rules and ownership
  • Advertiser and agency deduplication logic agreed before the first load
  • Controlled loads with reconciliation reports at each step
  • Preserved relationships: advertisers to agencies, orders to campaigns, delivery to billing
  • Open orders handled with a documented plan: moved live, closed out, or run in parallel
  • A cutover plan with a freeze, user acceptance testing, and rollback
  • Stabilization with a delta load for anything that changed during cutover

How it runs

  1. 01

    Discovery and data review

What is in the source, what state it is in, what the business needs to keep.

  2. 02

    Mapping and governance

Field by field, with duplicate rules agreed where they are cheap.

  3. 03

    Build and controlled load

The target configured, then data loaded in batches with reconciliation after each.

  4. 04

    Validation

Internal checks, then user acceptance by the people who know what the orders should look like.

  5. 05

    Cutover

A freeze, a final delta, a go or no-go by a named person, and a rollback nobody expects to use.

  6. 06

    Stabilization

We stay on while the team works in the new system and fix what real use finds.

Questions we get

What happens to the orders that are open at cutover?

They get a documented plan rather than a hope: live orders move as live, closed history moves as history, and anything ambiguous is run in parallel until it settles. The plan is written before the freeze, not during it.

Start with the stuck point

What should the order system be doing that it isn’t?

Bring the handoff, the reconciliation, or the make-good that keeps resurfacing. We will tell you whether it is a Naviga problem, a workflow problem, or a systems problem, and what to do about it.
