DataSync: the revenue spine behind the media stack

A media revenue operations platform that turns a closed HubSpot deal into a clean order and a tracked fulfillment handoff — running entirely on infrastructure Indigo Trigger owns.

DataSync is the operating platform behind media revenue work: connector modules, an operations admin, and HubSpot-native surfaces that carry an order from the moment a deal closes through to fulfillment.

The problem

In media sales the deal is only the beginning. What was sold has to become an order with the right products and commercial terms, that order has to reach the systems that will deliver and bill it, and somebody has to be able to answer what happened to it afterward. Those steps usually span several platforms that were never designed to agree, and the handoff between them is where revenue quietly goes missing.

Order Studio

Sellers start where they already are — a HubSpot deal — and build the order from a card on the record. They choose products and commercial terms against the catalog and rate card, and the result writes line items back to HubSpot and produces a canonical order package for downstream systems. The internal model stays destination-agnostic, so the shape of an order is not hostage to whichever platform happens to receive it.

Fulfillment Studio

After the order, operators and sellers work from HubSpot deal and ticket records while DataSync resolves line-item eligibility, templates, drafts, submissions, and history behind them. The record in HubSpot stays the working surface; the platform does the reconciliation.

Owned, not rented

DataSync was rebuilt onto infrastructure Indigo Trigger owns outright — its own source repository, its own database, its own functions, and its own deployment path — and is fully cut over and running there. Documentation is enforced in the build, so a new route, function, or decision record cannot ship without the docs that explain it.

How changes reach production

Schema changes are reviewed migrations applied as a deliberate, approved step against a confirmed target, never a blind push. Release safety is written down as policy rather than held as habit. It is the same standard we ask of the revenue systems we build for everyone else.
